# Offer strategy

> How Nostos uses offer framing without turning migration into a blanket discount campaign.

The offer is one of the core migration levers.

It is also one of the easiest levers to overuse. Nostos treats offer, message, timing, and cadence as part of the migration program, not as a standing web discount.

## Price parity by default

Recurr's default posture is price parity.

The goal is to move the billing relationship onto your web rail without teaching subscribers that web billing means the product should permanently cost less.

## Where offers fit

Offers can still be useful when they solve a specific migration problem:

* Reducing inertia for a subscriber who is otherwise ready to move
* Making the switch feel fair when the subscriber has to take an action
* Protecting a sensitive renewal or tenure moment
* Testing whether a narrow cohort needs a different path

The offer is not the whole migration. It is one input into the path a subscriber sees.

## What Kairos decides

Kairos helps match the approved path to the subscriber and cohort:

* Whether the subscriber is ready to see a migration path
* What message and offer framing should be used
* When follow-up should happen
* Whether the cohort should scale, pause, or adjust

The aim is to maximize movement without creating unnecessary margin giveback or avoidable churn risk.

## What the pilot validates

The pilot does not just test whether a checkout works.

It tests whether the chosen offer framing, message, cadence, and cohort logic create enough successful movement to justify the next wave.

That is why Nostos measures uptake, billing health, support signal, and churn risk before scaling.
